I love love love palm trees. Always have.
When I was a teenager, I used to have a tropical beach-themed bedroom with a huge palm tree mural plastered on my wall. It was awesome! (Especially since I lived in Chicago where palm trees were hard to come by.)
Not much has changed since I've grown older. I still LOVE palm trees. I am drawn to all tropical patterns and prints. Simply put, I am ga-ga about those green fronds, folks! To me, there is nothing more soothing than being near a beautifully established palm while comfortable breezes flow through it's swaying leaves. How majestic, relaxing and gorgeous!
God sure is good, right?!!!
Needless to say, I paint palms regularly. With my own unique method, I am constantly experimenting with organic hues, landscapes, varieties, and wash combinations filled with luscious palms. The whole process is quiet and peaceful for me as I consider all that God has created in His perfect love - all for our benefit. In worship, I too want to acknowledge His glory with my own palms open and willing to love on His behalf.
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
This brings me to The Palm Project.
What is The Palm Project? Well, every time I sell one of my palm-themed paintings, 50% of it's profit will be donated to an established charity and/or ministry. Yippee! (Please note, donations will only be made to organizations that are 501c3 not-for-profit charities with mission statements directed toward helping the sick and the poor, as well as helping to look after orphans and widows in their distress.)
So, if you would like to add the name of your favorite charity to The Palm Project list, or if you would like to purchase a particular piece that is listed as available, please contact me.
YAY! God bless us, everyone!
